The subtle nuances and/or ‘feelings’ after taking Maitake:
It feels like a warm, loving embrace. A motherly nourishing, protective energy. I like drinking this one in the evening.

Maitake Mushroom Extract (Grifola Frondosa)

Maitake means, “dancing mushroom” in Japanese (“mai” means “dance” and “take” means “mushroom”). It is also referred to as “Hen of the Woods” and “Sheep’s Head”. Hundreds of years ago foragers in Japan were said to establish carefully guarded Maitake fields, called “treasure islands”. Maitake commercial cultivation techniques were only perfected in the late 1970s, allowing more to partake in this treasure.

Maitake Mushroom is best known for stimulating
the immune system.

In addition to its tumour resistant properties, research has also shown Maitake to have great effect on patients who suffer from cancers, being on par with chemotherapy in breast cancer, and even exceeding chemotherapy treatments in brain and pancreatic cancer.

It has also been suggested that the reversal of tumour growth is a possibility. Also, a person undergoing chemotherapy may experience less nausea, reduction of pain, reduction of hair loss, and feel relief from some of the other side effects of chemo.

Researchers have also discovered that Maitake can reduce cholesterol and regulate blood sugar. Research has also suggested that taking in whole Maitake has the capability of regulating glucose levels, blood pressure, and insulin. It may also be useful for weight loss because of the regulation of cholesterol, liver lipids, phospholipids, and triglycerides. In addition to the beta-glucan content, Maitake as well as ABM and Shiitake, contain important polysaccharides that help the immune system.

Maitake may have an effect on your blood sugar.
It may also lower your blood pressure

Maitake is rich in minerals, (such as calcium, potassium and magnesium) vitamins (such as D2, Niacin, B2) and certain fibers and amino acids essential for proper body function.

It has long been used as an adaptogen.
